At Cuba Memorial Hospital, we’re committed to openness about your healthcare costs. We provide easy access to our standard hospital and pharmacy charges so there are no hidden fees or surprises.

As a Critical Access Hospital, we do not use the DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) system—our charges are listed by service instead.

Our charges are the same for all patients. However, your actual cost will depend on your insurance coverage. In addition to public programs like Medicare and Medicaid, many employers and insurance companies offer their own health plans.

Each plan has its own rules about what’s covered, how much you pay out of pocket (co-payments, deductibles, or both), and how payments are calculated.

Because there is no single nationwide set of requirements, CMH must follow the rules of each insurance plan.

These may include pre-authorization, admission notification, and utilization review—all of which can affect your final bill.
