Acute Care Needs: Cuba Memorial Hospital has 20 acute care beds. Patients requiring selective acute care or short term skilled nursing level care are admitted to these beds. We specialize in "soft acute" medical diagnosis like influenza, asthma, chronic lung disease, pain management and other "non-surgical" acute ailments.
Long-Term Care: Cuba Memorial Hospital's Nursing Home (Skilled Nursing Facility) offers excellent health care, comfortable living arrangements, ample recreational, social opportunities, safety and security for our elders provided by a well-trained staff of professionals. We understand the emotions that families may be experiencing during this time of change, and we strive to ease the transition by treating elders and their families with respect, warmth and compassion.
Palliative Care: Cuba Memorial Hospital's Palliative Care Service's goal is to help you live comfortably with the best possible quality of life by surrounding you and your family with services that provide support and comfort care.
The Urgent Care Center (UCC) provides 24-hour, 7-day a week coverage, giving you easy access to care when a non-emergent health care need arises or your physician's office is closed. Cuba Memorial works to assure that our patients have easy access to care, regardless of the hour. The UCC is staffed by experienced physician assistants, nurses and an on-call physician at all times.
Rehabilitation Services: Cuba Memorial Hospital offers a wide range of both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services. All Rehabilitation Services are part of a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Our therapists work closely with the nursing staff, nutritionists and physicians to ensure maximum benefit for each patient.
Who can benefit from these Rehabilitation services? People of all ages. Anyone with illness or injury that interferes with their performance of daily living can benefit. Typical conditions that we treat include post-surgical rehabilitation, joint pain, stroke, cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, general weakness, back and neck pain, sports injuries and work-related injuries.

A) Nutritional Services: In addition to serving meals each day to our patients, employees and residents, this department provides a variety of nutritional counseling services, including diabetic teaching.
B) Social Services: Our Social Worker helps elders, patients and families deal with emotional, financial and social stress that accompanies illness and hospitalization. This may include talking with family members and patients about services available in the community, or working to ensure that appropriate plans and services are available at the time of discharge. Social Services also help facilitate with implementing the processes and complex regulations of Medicare and Medicaid.
